What is an adverb? An
adverb is a word that is used to qualify or modify different types of words. The
adverb can change a verb, an adjective, another adverb or a clause.
Adverbs are the words that describe how, when, where something happened. Some of the
adverbs end in
-ly: strongly, carefully, etc. Not all
adverbs have this ending.
